Everything you need to know about our products, finishes, and ordering process.
Surface Finishes
The Castle finish is created through sand-blasting, giving the stone an aged and noble appearance. It's ideal for external applications and creates a distinguished, time-worn look.
The Rustic finish is achieved through hammer-picking (bush-hammering), producing a rough and traditional texture. Perfect for exterior walls and facades where a rugged, natural look is desired.
The Dune finish is a soft-brushed treatment creating gentle ripple textures. It's our signature elegant finish, ideal for premium interior design projects.
The Aged finish is created by drum-tumbling, giving the stone a time-worn patina. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor traditional settings.
The Contemporary finish is a fine-sanded smooth matte surface. Ideal for modern interiors and high-traffic commercial spaces.
The Mirror finish is a high-gloss polished reflective surface. Best suited for luxury interior applications where a sophisticated, reflective effect is desired.
The Leather finish combines brushing and polishing for a soft, tactile surface. Excellent for countertops and surfaces where a refined touch is important.
Edge Finishes
We offer four edge finish options: Eased (slightly rounded for safety), Rectified (precision-cut for minimal grout lines), Chiseled (hand-worked for a rustic look), and Natural (raw stone edge).

Ordering & Availability
Yes. Atlas Beige and Atlas Grey carry 18 independent lab reports issued by CTM (Centro Tecnológico del Mármol, Spain) in May 2026. Tests include ASTM C97 (bulk density 2,441–2,454 kg/m³; water absorption < 4%), ASTM C170 (compressive strength 40–90 MPa), ASTM C880 (flexural strength), and EN 12371 (frost resistance — certified for outdoor use in freeze-thaw climates). All 18 PDFs are available to download on our Certifications page.
Yes. Atlas Beige and Atlas Grey are frost-tested under EN 12371 by Centro Tecnológico del Mármol (CTM, Spain). The test subjects stones to 50 freeze-thaw cycles; both passed with no mass loss or cracking. This certifies them for outdoor use in climates with regular freezing temperatures — pool decks, facades, and terraces in USDA zones 5 and above.

Moroccan and French limestones share Jurassic-era geological origins. Atlas Beige is comparable to Massangis Beige Clair and Comblanchien. Technical specs are similar (compressive strength 40–90 MPa, density ~2,450 kg/m³, water absorption < 4% — ASTM C97/C170), but Moroccan stone offers more finish options (up to 18 vs 3–5) at significantly lower cost, with shorter lead times (8–12 weeks vs 12–20 weeks).
Yes. Atlas Beige from the Middle Atlas Mountains is a direct alternative to Egypt's Galala Beige/Galala Classic. Both are warm cream-beige limestones with comparable technical properties. Atlas Beige offers superior finish variety (18 options vs 3-4), single-quarry consistency, and competitive DDP pricing door-to-door.
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) means Stonemade handles everything: production, quality inspection, export documentation, ocean freight, US customs clearance, and delivery to your door. The quoted price is the total landed cost — no hidden charges for freight, duties, or handling.
